ARTIST BIO
Rhandi Sandford is an illustrator and textile designer, from southern AB.
Her artwork is inspired by horticulture, mycology, and mythology. Intertwining all three to create a surreal narrative.
Rhandi has been creating from a young age, and is self taught. Her initial media exploration was charcoal, watercolour and ink. These days gouache, acrylic, and soft sculpture suit her fancy.
Her work has been shown around western Canada. Rhandi has also shown her work through the festival circuit including Shambhala Music Festival, Artswells, Tiny Lights, Kaslo Jazz Festival and Kamp Festival, and she has recently delved into stage design.
